Application:

Internal: stomach pain and intestinal colic, fatigue and nervous depression. It has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, diaphoretic and expectorant action. With shortness of breath, colds, especially with the flu, nausea, indigestion, insomnia, migraine, exhaustion.

Externally: used for gargling for gum pain, acne, skin infections.

The herb is also called basil or basil. The Latin name of the herb is Herba Ocimum Basilicum.


Description: An annual herbaceous plant, up to 80 cm high, with opposite leaves, toothed, white, pink or purple, with a pleasant and characteristic odor. It blooms in summer. The subspecies are similar in appearance, but have a different aroma.


Chemical composition: Essential oil consists of linalool, cineole, eugenol, geraniol, methylhavicol; tannins, mineral salts, organic acids, saponins, flavonoids.


Usage:

Internally: 1 cup 3 times daily after meals.

Externally: for gargling or in the form of paws.


Preparation: 2 teaspoons of herb are poured with 1/4 liter of boiling water, soak. The same infusion is used for gargling and paws.


Note: High doses are very irritating!
